Be Inspired...

Never settle…and I’m not talking about the groom! Your wedding day shouldn’t consist of anything less than an inspired mix of design genius.  Tradition was meant to be tampered with... lets face it without a little tampering  we wouldn’t have arrived here in GenWed - as a recent article in BRIDES calls today’s brides and grooms.   Now more than ever couples have access to so much inspiration through wedding blogs, wedding tv, magazines and unique wedding resources that just didn’t exist a fleeting 10 years ago!  It’s a matter of piecing it together to create something truly unique.  Though we’ve come a long way we are not there yet! What I haven’t seen is a place where fashion forward wedding industry leaders and unique wedding resources come together to inspire couples and help them put the pieces together.  A place where modern fusion and inter-culture are included and a little touch of turquoise can mean more than just color.In retrospect I wish I had tampered with my own cultural traditions when I had the chance and thoughtfully included more inspiration versus tradition.  That’s me in the image above sitting in my tight fitting sheath silk Mikado dress. I should have been standing up!!  Well since I didn’t settle on the groom I won’t be getting married again.  I do however have a new mission which brings me to the purpose of the this blog: to connect couples with seasoned professionals and emerging talent that serve the luxury wedding market and present them ever so artfully with modern touches of culture and of course; a touch of turquoise and a lot of lovely!  Come back often as we begin to reveal our amazing wedding partners and bring to life Something Lovley ~ Wedding Event 2013 – scheduled to premiere on September 29, 2013 at [seven-degrees] in Laguna Beach, CA.
