Melaina + Ron's Dana Point Wedding Private Residence

Loved planning and designing Melaina and Ron's Dana Point Wedding this past September. The bride's sister graciously offered her ocean view home for an unforgettable private residence sunset wedding. If you have ever been to Orange County, CA you know there is no lack of stunning wedding venues with some of the top resorts in the world; including Pelican Hill Resort, Monarch Beach Resort, Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and the Montage Laguna Beach to name a few. This gorgeous private residence was no exception; when I first saw the property I was blown away by the incredible views; and I was even more surprised by the dirt lot that was still a work in progress.Scroll down to see BEFORE pic of dirt lot! You'll be amazed by the transformation.The couple wanted to enhance the natural setting with a neutral color palette: creams, whites and greenery. Drawing most attention on the sunset ocean view and landscape.  The ceremony had many special moments including the bride's brother-in-law as the officiant, one of the bride's sisters did a special reading and nothing could top the ceremony ending perfectly at sunset. A non-traditional cocktail style reception to follow was short and sweet!!   Since the home could not accommodate a seated dinner for all the guests; Sapphire catered an incredible spread with both tray pass hors d'oeuvres, fork plate hors d'oevres and buffet style... all globally inspired and delicious. The couple was lucky enough to serve guests wine from the new family winery (bride's sister and husband)  Open Claim Vineyards.  Next came cake cutting and speeches.
