Let's talk about the Honeymoon with 30 Ponte V
My fabulous friend Neda, launched an online luxury accessories e-commerce, 30 Ponte V, late last year. The site was inspired by the tiny jewelry stalls along the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence, Italy, which is 30 meters long. Neda has the most incredible eye for interesting designers and is able to maintain a classic, but modern collection of pieces on the site. Anytime I’m itching for a new piece of jewelry I discover something or someone I’ve never seen anywhere else. So Neda and I decided to do a blog post exchange! Since I’m always getting questions about wedding jewelry: should brides go timeless and classic on the big day or make a major statement? Obviously this depends on the bride’s personality (and the dress!), but I truly believe wedding jewelry should be special and reflect the tone and aesthetic created for the day. Location should always be considered as well when selecting wedding jewelry. I’ve put together some of my favorite pieces from 30 Ponte V to create looks for various wedding day destinations for her blog! Have a look at our post here!Neda loves to travel and since her blog is named after a bridge in Florence we thought it best she give brides a 30 Ponte V honeymoon jewelry guide.
Hello Something Lovely Wedding readers! Shannon is a dear friend and I’m thrilled to be here with you today, sharing some honeymoon jewelry inspiration! Every bride takes special care when picking out accessories for the Big Day, but for the honeymoon, jewelry is often overlooked. I think the honeymoon is a great opportunity to continue the dream wedding and translate your favorite styles into gorgeous vacation looks. I’ve chosen three different types of locations and picked out some pieces that will transition from morning brunch to evening cocktails with ease.Exotic Beach Honeymoon – Places like Bali are perfect for elegant organic pieces that are have a natural beauty. For this honeymoon, I would choose stones that feel good on the body, in your favorite colors. The Julie Cohn Design necklace has an ethereal quality and the Jacquie Aiche stud earrings can be worn with just about anything.
South American Stroll – If your honeymoon will be about exploration and culture, eclectic jewelry pieces are the way to go. The key is to use color and avoid matching pieces. Allow the sights, sounds and smells of the local markets and hidden boutiques guide your wardrobe choices and your accessories mood!
European Seaside Escape – Heading to Capri? Be sure to pick pieces that are timeless, with a hint of subtle glamour. Unexpected sparkle mixed with elegant gold cuffs and rings…perhaps some chain necklaces for some nautical flair. You’ll feel your best when you fit in with the chic locals!
Bon Voyage!
